This webcam points towards Black Hill Transmitter. Note that the cloud base can be determined at night by the number of lights illuminated on the Black Hill transmitter mast, 14.5km to the NNW; whose base is 925' amsl, Scotland's tallest manmade structure. Though on many occasions the cloud base at Black Hill is not representative of that at Carluke. Note that the replacement Black Hill mast can be seen under construction to its right

The image above is looking NE towards the Black Law Wind Farm.

This image is normally of an Oregon Scientific weather station, whose sensors live in a Stevenson Screen loop
The Windfarm cam is an old Canon UC1000 analogue camcorder, captured by a TV card, and uploaded through Yawcam. The weather station cam is the Sweex interfaced with Vision GS. The High Res Transmitter camera is an Olympus C760UZ, which is controlled by Pine Tree Computing's Camera Control. The full size image has, to the best of my knowledge, held the record for nearly 3 years of being the highest resolution webcam in the UK. Software.
Please also have a look at some weather pictures taken in the local area.
